Van wraps are one of the most effective ways to turn a work vehicle into a moving billboard, but a lot of people aren’t sure what the process actually involves. If you’ve been curious about getting a wrap for your van and want to know what to expect from start to finish, here’s a straightforward look at how we handle it at Titan Wraps.
It Starts With a Conversation and a Design
Before anything goes on your van, we take time to understand what you’re after. Are you branding a single company van? Expanding a fleet? Looking for something bold and eye-catching, or clean and professional? Those details shape everything that follows.
Our design team works in-house, which matters more than people realize. There’s no sending files off to a third party and hoping the colors translate correctly. We’re right here, working through concepts with you directly, adjusting layouts, refining colors, and making sure your logo and messaging look sharp at full scale. We’ll put together digital mockups so you can see how the design will sit on your specific vehicle before anything gets printed. It’s a collaborative back-and-forth, and we don’t rush it.
Production Happens Under Our Roof
Once you’ve signed off on the design, production begins. Again, this is all done in-house. We print on premium materials, because the quality of the vinyl has a direct impact on how your wrap looks in the Texas sun and how long it holds up. Anyone serving clients across Lewisville, Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, and surrounding areas knows that the heat and UV exposure here can be brutal on lower-grade products. We don’t cut corners on materials.
After printing, the panels are carefully cut and prepared for installation. This prep work is part of what separates a great wrap from one that peels or bubbles within a year.
The Installation Process
This is where the real craft comes in. Our installers are certified and insured, working out of our facility in Lewisville, which includes a dedicated install area of over 3,000 square feet. That space gives us the room to work properly, with controlled conditions, good lighting, and enough clearance to handle full-size vans and larger vehicles without cutting corners.
The van goes through a thorough cleaning before any vinyl touches it. Contaminants, wax residue, even small dust particles can affect adhesion, so we take surface prep seriously. Then the wrap is applied in sections, with each panel carefully smoothed and heat-formed around curves, edges, and any recessed areas on the body. For a full van wrap, this typically takes at least a full day, sometimes longer depending on the complexity of the design and the condition of the vehicle.
We work on everything from cargo vans and sprinters to full-size passenger vans, and our team has completed a wide range of projects across the DFW area, including fleet builds for businesses in Carrollton and Plano, trade show vehicles, and custom builds for clients throughout the Dallas metro.
What Happens After Installation
Before the van leaves our facility, we do a final inspection. We’re checking for any edges that need attention, any spots that need a second pass, anything that doesn’t meet our standard. You should drive away confident that the wrap looks exactly as it did in the mockup, maybe better in person.
We also walk you through basic care instructions. Van wraps are durable, but how you wash and maintain the vehicle does affect longevity. Hand washing is generally preferred, and there are a few products to avoid. Small things that make a big difference over time.
How Long Does It All Take?
The timeline varies based on design complexity, how quickly approvals come back, and our current schedule. In general, from the first conversation to a finished installation, clients can expect the process to take anywhere from a week to a few weeks depending on the scope. If you’re heading into the holiday season or have a trade show or event on the horizon, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later. October tends to fill up quickly as businesses look to refresh their branding before the end of the year.
